Fat Hippo takeover Riley's Fish Shack!

We love a little spontaneity here at Fat Hippo, so when Mr. Riley of Riley’s Fish Shack, floated the idea of a collaboration we simply couldn't refuse! 

Born from a love of fresh fish, Adam and Lucy Riley’s (founders, co-owners and husband and wife) venture began as a roving street food bicycle stall back in 2012. Since then, they have successfully pitched up in their hometown of Tynemouth, located (literally) shorefront at King Edward Bay, into a semi-portable fish bar and grill, serving local, seasonal fish and seafood, cooked simply over a real charcoal BBQ/ fire.

Come summer, alongside NE1’s seasonal project, the Quayside Seaside, Riley’s Fish Shack has branched out bringing fresh seafood back to Newcastle’s Quayside and popping up in a rustic converted shipping container just at the end of the new beach instalment. With indoor and outdoor seating, a weekend alcohol license and dog friendly policy, this is the perfect place to stop for a good refuel on your Quayside stroll.

And for one week only our Burger Lab is taking over! Collaborating with Riley’s, staying true to their seafood nature, we bring you a whole new mini menu
