Our mobile app, Fat Hippo, is accessible via your portable hand-held device (the “Application”). The Application is provided by 5Loyalty and Fat Hippo Restaurants Ltd. of RMT Accountants & Business Advisors Ltd, Gosforth Park Avenue, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8EG (“Fat Hippo”, “us”, “we” or “our” for short). “You” and “your” means you as the user of our Application.

We have set out the terms under which we are providing you with access to our Application and its products and services. These include the terms and conditions that govern:

• your use of our Application;
• your use of the services and products offered through our Application;
• your rights to link to our Application; how we will use and protect information about you (see our separate “Privacy Policy”).

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF FAT HIPPO GIFT CARDS

The use of Fat Hippo Gift Cards fall under the following terms and conditions.

These Terms and Conditions of Fat Hippo Gift Cards apply to pounds sterling Gift Cards purchased online through the Fat Hippo Platform by Toggle (fat-hippo.mytoggle.io) as well as Gift Cards purchased at a participating Fat Hippo restaurant.

Please read these Terms and Conditions of Fat Hippo Gift Cards carefully before purchase to ensure that you understand how Gift Cards work and that you are familiar with any restrictions, which may apply to their use:

• Gift Cards ordered through the Fat Hippo Platform by Toggle (fat-hippo.mytoggle.io) will be delivered automatically by electronic means to the email address you specify at the time of order. Our Gift Card include unique numbers and configurable patterns.
• When ordering a Gift Card, you should ensure to enter the recipient’s email address correctly. We cannot be held responsible if the address is entered incorrectly and someone other than the intended recipient uses the Gift Card.
• Gift cards are redeemable for dine in at our Fat Hippo restaurants only and cannot be redeemed in our concessions or with our Fleet. A Gift Card cannot be used to purchase a further Gift Card.
• Gift cards are available in amounts of £10, £20, £30, £40, £50 and £100 only.
• Gift cards are valid for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase, following which they expire automatically. Fat Hippo have no obligation to remind or inform you of a gift card's expiry and it is your sole responsibility to ensure that any balance is used in full prior to expiry.
• Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Gift Cards are non-refundable.
• Fat Hippo reserve the right to refuse to accept a Gift Card as payment if there is reasonable evidence of tampering or fraud.
• We are not responsible if a Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission and no replacement will be provided in these circumstances.

• Gift cards are not to be used in conjunction with any external third-party competitions, giveaways, raffles and the like without explicit written permission from our marketing department. If you wish to discuss any promotional opportunities, please contact marketing@fathippo.co.uk.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF OUR HERD REWARDS SCHEME

These terms and conditions explain how the Fat Hippo Herd Rewards Scheme works.

When we say "we", "us" or "our", we mean the Fat Hippo Restaurants Ltd. When we say "you" or "your," we mean the customer using the Fat Hippo Herd Rewards Scheme. 

These terms were last updated on 16/06/2026.

1. ABOUT US

1.1 Fat Hippo Restaurants Ltd. is registered in England and Wales under company number 07207305, with its registered address at RMT Accountants & Business Advisors Ltd, Gosforth Park Avenue, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8EG. VAT number 113495917.

1.2 We operate the website www.fathippo.co.uk in the UK and the Fat Hippo mobile app.

1.3 The Fat Hippo Herd (“The Herd”) is our rewards scheme, rewarding customers for visiting our restaurants and enjoying our food. By joining The Herd, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. JOINING THE FAT HIPPO HERD

2.1 The Fat Hippo Herd is free to join. You can sign up via the Fat Hippo App using a valid email address. Once registered, you can add your Fat Hippo Herd card to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Physical cards are not available. 

2.2 Any points or rewards earned from our previous rewards system are no longer valid. If you were previously registered on our old rewards system, you will need to create a new Fat Hippo Herd account to start earning rewards again.

2.3 The Fat Hippo Herd card is not a credit, charge or debit card and cannot be used as a method of payment. 

2.4 You must be aged 16 or over to register, earn stamps or redeem rewards.

2.5 Only one account per person is permitted. Multiple accounts using different email addresses are not allowed.

2.6 When you join, you’ll receive 1x free ‘Dirty’ upgrade bonus voucher, automatically added to your account and ready to redeem on your next visit. This reward is valid for 12 months and can be applied to any eligible side including hand-cuts, fries, tots or waffles, including vegan options. It cannot be used in conjunction with any deals or offers, is one-time use, non-exchangeable and holds no cash value.

3. EARNING STAMPS & REWARDS

3.1 You can earn one (1) stamp per transaction when you purchase a main menu burger.

3.2 Rewards are unlocked when you collect 2, 4 and 6 stamps. Once you collect 6 stamps and earn a free burger reward, your stamp balance will reset and you’ll start collecting stamps again towards your next reward.

3.3 Stamps can be earned at all UK Fat Hippo restaurant locations, excluding our Manchester concession, and on Click & Collect orders placed directly through the Fat Hippo App. 

3.4 When dining-in, you must show your Fat Hippo QR code via your Mobile Wallet or the App to earn a stamp. For Click & Collect orders, you must be logged into your Fat Hippo Herd account.

3.5 Stamps cannot be earned on orders placed through third-party delivery platforms, including Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Just Eat. 

3.6 Stamps cannot be earned on Fast Hippo menu items, secret menu items, limited-edition specials, kids menu items, delivery-only exclusive items, or in conjunction with special promotional offers (e.g., Restaurant Week).

3.7 Stamps cannot be earned on non-food items such as gift cards or merchandise. 

3.8 If you forget to scan your Fat Hippo Herd card, stamps cannot be added retrospectively.

3.9 Multiple burgers purchased in a single transaction will only earn one stamp. Stamps are earned per transaction, not per item. 

3.10 You may earn a stamp whilst redeeming a reward, provided you also purchase a main menu burger in the same transaction.

4. CHECKING YOUR HERD BALANCE

4.1 You can check your stamp balance and rewards via the Fat Hippo App.

4.2 We reserve the right to correct or adjust your account balance if we believe an error has occurred. If you wish to query a balance, please get in touch.

5. REDEEMING REWARDS

5.1 Rewards are valid for 12 months.

5.2 Any rewards not redeemed by their expiry date will be forfeited and removed from your account.

5.3 Stamps do not expire.

5.4 Reward options are as follows:

      5.4.1  2 Stamps = 1x free Onion Rings side

      5.4.2  4 Stamps = 1x free Dessert 

      5.4.3  6 Stamps = 1x free Burger (valid on any main menu burger)

5.5 The free dessert reward includes a dessert of your choice, excluding limited-edition specials.

5.6 The free burger reward cannot be redeemed on Fast Hippo menu items, secret menu items, limited-edition specials, kids menu items, delivery-only exclusive items.

5.7 The free burger reward (valid on any main menu burger) includes a free side as standard. You may choose from hand-cuts, fries or slaw.

5.8 Any additional paid extras or upgrades are not included and must be paid for separately. 

5.9 You may redeem more than one reward in a single visit, provided the rewards are valid.

5.10 Rewards are limited to one Fat Hippo Herd member per transaction. Where multiple Herd members wish to redeem rewards, separate transactions must be completed for each individual redemption.

5.11 Rewards can be redeemed at all UK Fat Hippo restaurant locations, excluding our Manchester concession.

5.12 Rewards cannot be redeemed on Click & Collect orders through the Fat Hippo App. 

5.13 Rewards cannot be redeemed through third-party delivery partners, including Deliveroo, Just Eat or Uber Eats.

5.14 Rewards cannot be redeemed in conjunction with our Hippo Hour Tray Deal offer or our Fast Hippo offer.

5.15 To redeem a reward in-restaurant, you must show the QR code in your Mobile Wallet or App at the time of payment.

5.16 Redeeming rewards does not affect your ability to continue collecting stamps. After earning a free burger at 6 stamps, the reward will be added to your account, your stamp balance will reset, and you will begin collecting stamps again.

5.17 Rewards have no cash alternative and cannot be exchanged, transferred or refunded.

6. USE OF THE FAT HIPPO HERD REWARDS SCHEME

6.1 We reserve the right to refuse, suspend or cancel a Fat Hippo Herd account where we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or breach of these Terms & Conditions. 

6.2 We may withhold rewards or cancel accounts where fraudulent or unauthorised activity is suspected. If an account is cancelled, any unused rewards will be forfeited.

6.3 Stamps and rewards cannot be shared, transferred, merged or exchanged between accounts.

6.4 We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation of the Fat Hippo Herd Rewards Scheme. In the unlikely event of technical or system issues, stamps may not be added and rewards may not be redeemable during that period. 

6.5 These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants, including Fat Hippo employees.

7. CHANGES, CANCELLATION & WITHDRAWAL

7.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions or withdraw the Fat Hippo Herd Rewards Scheme at any time without notice. 

7.2 You may cancel your Fat Hippo Herd account at any time. Upon cancellation, any unused stamps or rewards will be lost. To cancel your account, please get in touch.

7.3 We may communicate important updates regarding the Fat Hippo Herd Rewards Scheme, including changes to rewards, structure, expiry dates or withdrawal of the scheme, via email. If you choose not to opt in to marketing communications, you acknowledge that you may not receive such updates. We cannot be held responsible for any missed information, changes or deadlines as a result of opting out of communications.

8. PRIVACY POLICY

8.1 Participation in the Fat Hippo Herd Rewards scheme is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data. By joining the scheme, you agree to the processing of your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF FAT HIPPO SOCIAL MEDIA CHRISTMAS ADVENT COMPETITION

Entering Fat Hippo social media competitions fall under the following terms and conditions. Please note that specific competitions may have their own terms and conditions which will be stated on the original social media post.

The closing time and date of the competition will be stated on the original social media post with the winner who has been selected at random being announced in the comments on the original social media post by our official account before midnight the same day.

Winner must have completed all entry requirements stated on the original social media post, otherwise another winner will be selected. Competitions may be ran on more than one platform and may be entered on multiple channels, more than once, in-line with entry requirements. 

The winner will be asked to contact our official page via direct message within 7 days to organize the redemption of the prize, otherwise another winner will be selected at random.

Prizes have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or sold on.

Our social media competitions are not affiliated with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok or any other account besides our official accounts (any exceptions will be stated on the post). No card details will be required. No links need to be clicked. Beware of fake accounts and stay safe online.

IMPORTANT PRODUCT NOTICE – FAT HIPPO SAUCE BOTTLE RECALL

Following guidance from our manufacturer, we have recalled all Fat Hippo Sauce bottles due to a manufacturing issue that may affect the shelf life stated on the bottle.

Please note, this recall only affects the Fat Hippo OG Sauce. Our Wild Bill BBQ and HHH Hot Sauce are not affected.

If you have purchased a bottle of our Fat Hippo OG Sauce either in store or online, please email a proof of purchase to sauces@fathippo.co.uk, and a refund will be issued.
