Fat Hippo Edinburgh Lane7 is a concession within its host venue, Lane7 Edinburgh in St James Quarter. This means you can get your Fat Hippo fix with a selection of our burgers and sides at our food kiosk within the leisure complex. All drinks, service and activities are provided by Lane7 themselves.

Our new site on George Street, will be a full Fat Hippo restaurant experience with our complete food and drinks menu available as well as service being provided by our staff.

Fat Hippo Edinburgh Lane7 is based within its host venue, Lane7 Edinburgh. The premium bowling alley is located in St James Quarter, the popular shopping complex in Edinburgh’s city centre.

The nearest bus stops to Fat Hippo Edinburgh Lane7 are located on Leith Street, right next to the venue, and Edinburgh Waverley train station is only a three minutes’ walk away.

Parking is available in the St James Place or Leith Street car parks.

With a whole range of activities available for all the family – bowling, mini golf, pool, shooting pods and ping pong, Fat Hippo Edinburgh Lane7 is a great spot for food fuel! We have a varied kids menu (for the little Herd under 12), including vegan options, and we can cater for dietary requirements, including gluten-free and/or dairy-free.

Please note that at Lane7 Edinburgh, under 18s must always be accompanied by adults and must leave the venue by 7pm so it’s best to visit Fat Hippo Edinburgh Lane7 with your little ones in the day and early evening.
