Fat Hippo Edinburgh Lane7 is a concession within its host venue, Lane7 Edinburgh in St James Quarter. This means you can get your Fat Hippo fix with a selection of our burgers and sides at our food kiosk within the leisure complex. All drinks, service and activities are provided by Lane7 themselves.

Fat Hippo Edinburgh is based on George Street, one of the main shopping streets in the city centre. The street, known for its high-end shops, grand architecture and famous statues is only a ten minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station and a ten minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Castle.

Yes, Fat Hippo Edinburgh is a child friendly restaurant! We have a varied kids menu (for the little Herd under 12), including vegan options, and we can cater for dietary requirements, including gluten-free and/or dairy-free.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in Fat Hippo Cardiff's outdoor dining area. The restaurant also has selected bar tables that are dog friendly (with managerial discretion). Please contact Fat Hippo Cardiff directly to ensure an appropriate table is available at your selected time.

We're afraid we don't currently offer any discounts at Fat Hippo Edinburgh. We do have our Fast Hippo lunch deal and Hippo Hour evening deal running though. Have a read of the further details of these offers.
