It's time to say sorry to soggy, pass on the paper and break-up with bang average straws as we’re thrilled to bring you the world's first ever edible and 100% biodegradable straws! We’ve created the dream green team and teamed up with straw sorcerers SORBOS to take your Fat Hippo sipping experience to a level that’s good for you, AND good for the planet. 

Exclusive to all dine-in Fat Hippo restaurants, we’re bringing you three tasty flavours to try, Strawberry, Chocolate or Vanilla, complimentary with any cold drink or shake. Sustainability never tasted so good!

Engineered to last for 40 minutes (or longer) in ice-cold drinks, they remain sturdy to savour every sip! Plus, they won't compromise or change the taste of your drink, releasing no unwanted flavours or colours.

But it's not just about taste and functionality. Our straws are allergen-free, gluten-free AND GMO-free - with IFS accreditation and FDA approval, making them suitable for almost all of our Herd (just not our plant-based pals right now).

And the best part? Our straws are 100% biodegradable, breaking down easily into harmless organic matter. Together, we can help tackle plastic pollution in our oceans, landfills, and wildlife habitats, reduce deforestation and help ensure a cleaner planet for future generations.

Sugar, water, corn starch, bovine gelatine, stabiliser: sodium carboxy methyl cellulose, humectant: glycerol, flavouring, fruit + vegetable concentrated (sweet potato, radish, cherry, apple, safflower + lemon), antioxidant: citric acid.
